MediaTek has been making processor for a while now and they have been loved by many users and manufacturers alike. However, it looks like Vernee in particular has shown interest in this chipset manufacturer as all their currently available handset have these processor ticking under their hoods.
At the recently concluded MWC, MediaTek took center stage to officially announce the availability of their new flagship processor the Helio X30. Shortly after their announcement, Vernee wasted no time in announcing a handset which has this processor powering it.
It is none other than the Vernee Apollo 2, however, it is just a prototype as the original handset is still in the works. Nonetheless, although a prototype, the handset has already proven to be the beast with some jaw dropping specifications.
Apart from the new chipset is has been said to feature, the phone comes in with a massive 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage space as well. It would be running the Android 7.1 operating system fully functional from the box.
The handset has a 5.5 inch TDDI high resolution display on the front panel as well as a fingerprint scanner as well. On the back panel however, there is a main Sony IMX298 camera sensor of 16 megapixels. The phone would be graced with fast charging technology to make the measly battery life even better.
There was word that this handset would be hitting the market in March, however with the release of the next batch of snapdragon 835 processors delayed, the launching of this device has been pushed to May.
