Panasonic has expanded its Eluga series with the release of a new handset dubbed Eluga I9 in India. The handset highlights a 13-Megapixel Camera which makes the handset quite attractive given its given price point.
Priced at Rs. 7,499, the smartphone will be made available exclusively via Flipkart starting December 15. Interestingly, the handset competes against popular budget offerings from handset makers like Xiaomi’s Redmi 5A and HMD Global’s Nokia 2.
Coming to specs, the Eluga I9 supports dual-SIM feature and runs Android 7.0 Nougat based on company’s own skin on top.
Sporting Arbo virtual assistant technology, the handset also comes with a 5-inch IPS display tagged with an HD (720×1280 pixels) resolution.
Powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6737 SoC paired with 3GB of RAM speed, the handset brings 32GB internal memory with an option to expand via microSD (up to 128GB).
In the camera department, the Panasonic Eluga I9 bears a 13-megapixel camera sensor clubbed with an LED flash module.
At the front area, the handset camera packs a 5-megapixel sensor paired with an LED flash as well. Apart from that, the phone also comes with preloaded features such as a watermark, panorama, burst mode, and a list of filters.
The handset brings 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS/ A-GPS, and Micro-USB as well a fingerprint sensor. Offering OTG support, the handset is fitted with a 2500mAh battery that the company claims can deliver up to eight hours of video playback on a single charge. The handset is made available in Space Grey, Champagne Gold, and Blue color variants.
