Following OnePlus’ announcement to release a Limited edition of its OnePlus 5T device on the 14th of December, new reports have confirmed that the launch will definitely take place today in India.
Taking a look at previous reports, OnePlus collaborated with Star Wars: The Last Jedi, to bring the new smartphone to a special event at IMAX Wadala in Mumbai.
Interested buyers can simply purchase the upcoming OnePlus 5T Star Wars Limited Edition on Amazon.in, OnePlusStore.in, and at other OnePlus’ offline stores throughout the country. The handset, however, is expected to go on sale from 15th of December.
Talking about cosmetic changes, the Star Wars limited edition of the OnePlus 5T comes with a white back console, a Star Wars logo on the back, and a red-colored Alert Slider.
What’s more, the handset brings a Stormtrooper wallpaper that corresponds with the deep black front of the limited edition OnePlus 5T smartphone.
Coming to specs, the handset supports dual-SIM and runs OxygenOS 4.7 based on Android 7.1.1 Nougat. It packs a 6.01-inch full-HD+ (1080×1920 pixels) Full Optic AMOLED display panel tagged with an 18:9 aspect ratio, 401ppi pixel density, and 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass 5 on top. It also supports sRGB and DCI-P3 colour gamuts.
Powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 835 SoC, clocked at up to 2.45GHz, coupled with either 6GB or 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM.
In the camera department, the OnePlus 5T comes with a primary a 16-megapixel Sony IMX398 primary sensor clubbed with 1.12-micron pixels and an aperture of f/1.7 just like the one that came with the OnePlus 5.
Talking about connectivity options, the OnePlus 5T brings 4G VoLTE, dual-band (2.4GHz, 5GHz) Wi-Fi 802.11ac with MIMO 2×2, Bluetooth v5.0 with aptX and aptX HD, NFC, GPS/ A-GPS, 3.5mm audio jack, and a USB Type-C (v2.0) port.
The device is backed by a 3300mAh non-removable battery, similar to what we saw on the OnePlus 5. The handset also supports a Dash Charge (5V, 4A) fast charging feature brought by the company. It weighs 162 grams and measures 156.1x75x7.3mm.
