Going by latest reports, Chinese smartphone makers OnePlus has announced the release of a new Lava Red model of the OnePlus 5T in India.
The handset which saw a global launch last year November in Midnight Black and Star Wars options is now set to hit the India market on 11 January 2018.
Whether or not the price of the handset remains the same as it other variants, we can’t say for now until the company reveals more details.
Coming to specs, the handset supports dual-SIM and runs OxygenOS 4.7 based on Android 7.1.1 Nougat. It packs a 6.01-inch full-HD+ (1080×1920 pixels) Full Optic AMOLED display panel tagged with an 18:9 aspect ratio, 401ppi pixel density, and 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass 5 on top. It also supports sRGB and DCI-P3 color gamuts.
Powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 835 SoC, clocked at up to 2.45GHz, coupled with either 6GB or 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM.
In the camera department, the OnePlus 5T comes with a primary a 16-megapixel Sony IMX398 primary sensor clubbed with 1.12-micron pixels and an aperture of f/1.7 just like the one that came with the OnePlus 5.
Talking about connectivity options, the OnePlus 5T brings 4G VoLTE, dual-band (2.4GHz, 5GHz) Wi-Fi 802.11ac with MIMO 2×2, Bluetooth v5.0 with aptX and aptX HD, NFC, GPS/ A-GPS, 3.5mm audio jack, and a USB Type-C (v2.0) port.
The device is backed by a 3300mAh non-removable battery, similar to what we saw on the OnePlus 5. The handset also supports a Dash Charge (5V, 4A) fast charging feature brought by the company. It weighs 162 grams and measures 156.1x75x7.3mm.
