Not too long ago, the Indian market saw the launch of the OnePlus 5 handset that touted some high-end specification that looked to compete with the other flagship handset from the likes of Apple and Samsung.
Aside from the dual rear camera configuration, the OnePlus 5 phone also highlights an 8GB RAM option. While majority smartphone users think that 8GB of RAM in a smartphone is a bit of an overkill, OnePlus clearly envisioned something different.
Nevertheless, one report has shown us a speed test of the 6GB of RAM variant of the OnePlus 5 device compared to the 8GB variant. Going by preliminary leaks, we saw the 8GB model of the OnePlus 5 is beating the iPhone 7 Plus in a speed test.
After carrying out the test, it was concluded that both the 8GB + 128GB Midnight Black version and the 6GB + 64GB Slate Grey variant model of the OnePlus 5 and are somewhat similar when it comes to loading times.
Coming to the specification, the smartphone packs a 23-megapixel rear sensor and a 16-megapixel camera at the front for selfies.
Aside from the cameras, the dual-SIM smartphone runs Android 7.1 Nougat out-of-the-box and packs a 5.5-inch QHD (1440×2560 pixels) display.
The successor to the OnePlus 3T device is powered by a 2.35GHz octa-core Snapdragon 835 SoC paired with 8GB of RAM. The OnePlus 5 also bears 64GB inbuilt storage that can be expanded up to 128GB.
In line with connectivity, the flagship OnePlus 5 comes with 4G, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, and GPS. The handset measures 152.7×74.7×7.0mm and weigh 156 grams.
