Going by latest news, OnePlus just recently began pushing out the Android 7.1.1 Nougat-based OxygenOS 4.1.0 update for its OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T handsets. The new OxygenOS update brings along several new features to the two handsets, including the March Android security update.
OnePlus’s OxygenOS 4.1.0 update simply upgrades a user’s operating system to Android 7.1.1 Nougat. It also brings a support for expanded screenshots while enhancing on Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity.
As for camera performance, OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T smartphones can take better pictures of moving objects with blur reduction, and also comes with an improved video stability when recording.
Apart from the previously mentioned features, the new OxygenOS 4.1.0 update for OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T handset also rolls out with general bug fixes.
According to one report, Google earlier this month, rolled out an Android security patch that reportedly fixed 22 high severity issues and 11 critical problems.
Based on previously similar updates, OnePlus clearly states that the OTA is expected to roll out gradually, which automatically means that it will be made available to a small percentage of users at first and a larger number later on.
The OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T handset can manually check for the update from Settings > About Phone > System Update.
To recap, OnePlus rolled out Android’s 7.0 Nougat-based OxygenOS 4.0 update to the OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T handsets sometime in January.
Finally, the company also rolled out OxygenOS 4.0.3 update for OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T handsets which reportedly fixed two major vulnerabilities of older OxygenOS variants associated with the bootloader on the handsets.
