And it is Huawei taking the spotlight yet again. They just took off the wraps from the entry-level Huawei Y3 smartphone and now, they have taken center stage yet again to launch another handset from this same Y series of devices with the moniker, Huawei Y7 making it the third device from this series to see the light of day this year.
This new handset is also a budget device but manages to sport some specs associated with smartphones that usually ask for more. It sports a 5.5 inch HD touchscreen display having a resolution of about 1280 x 720 Pixels and it is protected by a 2.5D curved glass.
The screen is kept on and running for many hours by a humongous 4000mAh battery pack that should easily take you for more than a whole day before the battery is completely discharged. From the box, the device is graced with the Android Nougat skinned Emotion UI 5.1.
The camera sensors are quite impressive as on the top upfront, there is an 8-megapixel sensor for all selfie needs and video calling apps as well. This sensor accompanies an even better 12MP 1.25µm pixel main camera sensor on the back panel.
Under the hood, there is a Snapdragon 435 processor coupled up with 2GB of RAM and 16GB ROM that is made expandable to an additional 128GB via the microSD card made available. Other tiny bits and pieces include USB type C charging port, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS and Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n.
As of now this is all we know about the Huawei Y7 smartphone and we are sure more details like the pricing and availability will be revealed soon, so stay tuned.
