Xiaomi has been a name to reckon with in the smartphone space and we can see why this competitor is such a formidable force as they have recently stormed the budget market with a handset tagged with the moniker Xiaomi Redmi 4X.
Based on the name of this device, we can see that it is a follow up of the recently launched Xiaomi Redmi Note 4X. We are expecting this new device to come in with a smaller screen and slightly toned down specifications when compared to its Redmi Note 4X sibling.
Although the specifications of this handset has been reduced, we still see the Xiaomi Redmi 4X coming in with true beauty as it features a smooth all metal uni-body with well-crafted curved on the edges of the phone. On first sight, it would be pretty easy to mistake this handset for a flagship device as the build is just a proof of masterclass craftsmanship.
This metallic chassis would firmly hold in place a 5 inch HD touchscreen display on the front panel which is protected by a 2.5D curved glass. On the back, however, there is a 13MP main camera which would be graced with PDAF capabilities and just beneath it would be a fingerprint scanner for obvious purposes.
Under the hood, there would be a Snapdragon 435 processor powering the handset alongside two memory variants of 2GB of RAM + 16GB for $102 and 3GB + 32GB for $131 both of which should be made expandable through the addition of the microSD card slot.
The Redmi 4X would be graced with 4100mAh of battery juice which should be enough to keep this handset up and running for a few days upon full charge based on the specs listed above. Even with this large battery and compact screen size, the phone still manages to stay impressively slim at just 8.65mm.
