Mid last year, Gionee took center stage to officially announce the Gionee M6 and M6 Plus smartphones which were famous because of the security encryption chip they were both graced with. Now, this handset has just received a successor that has been tagged the Gionee M6S Plus which brings tending specifications to the table.
Aimed at the phablet market, this device sports a 6 inch AMOLED display from the the Korean Giant Samsung. This niche display has a 2.5D curved glass placed above it to guard it against scratches other unexpected occurrences as well.
The Gionee M6S Plus also brings beauty to the table as it sports a well-smoothened finish that is a true proof of masterclass craftsmanship. The beauty is made even more evident with the ultra-thin bezels on both sides of what seems to be a curved display.
Below the screen, an oval shaped physical home button is present. This button also has a fingerprint scanner embedded in it. This sensor is made even better with the addition of the same encryption chip that is present in its predecessors.
Following in their trend of fitting their handsets with large batteries, the Gionee M6S Plus, goes live with a monstrous 6020mAh battery pack that is made even better by the addition of Quick Charge 3.0 fast charging technology.
The phone is powered by a Snapdragon 653 processor coupled up with 6GB of RAM and two ROM versions of 64GB and 128GB. Both versions are graced with a 12-megapixel main camera at the back panel with 0.03s fast focus and a f/1.9 aperture.
The 6GB + 64GB version is currently priced at $508 whereas the more powerful variant with 128GB asks for $624. May 2nd has been chosen by the OEM as they day when this device will go on sale so book one now before it heads out.
