With Nokia’s 3310 handsets expected to attract everyone’s attention at the MWC 2017 event on February 26, the flagship Nokia P1 or Nokia 8 devices, however, will be the smartphone that decides if the brand will be able to compete with flagship models from the likes of Samsung, Apple and other reputable brands.
While most of the key specifications expected to roll out with the Nokia 8 have already surfaced online, how much the phone is expected to cost remained unknown. Nevertheless, a listing on one of China’s most reputable websites has leaked the Nokia 8 price tag ahead of the launch day.
According to the report, the Nokia 8 device is expected to be sold at a price of CNY 3,188. Unfortunately, the company hasn’t said anything to confirm the authenticity of the online listing of the Nokia 8’s price.
To recap, the alleged Nokia 8 handset is rumoured to be powered by Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 835 processor whilst featuring a 5.7-inch QHD Super AMOLED display. The device is also likely to sport a 24-megapixel rear camera with OIS accompanied by a 12-megapixel camera in front.
Nokia 8 is widely expected to be announced in two storage options – 64GB and 128GB. Both the variants are also rumoured to pack an expandable storage space up to 256GB via microSD card. The handset is also expected to run Android 7.0 Nougat out-of-the-box.
The official HMD Global event is set to occur in Barcelona on Sunday, and it will start at the 4:30 pm local time (9 pm IST).
