Nokia 6, being HMD’s first ever smartphone to run the Android operating system, is already getting positive feedbacks from the consumer market.
Already off to a perfect start, the smartphone was up for pre-order from China’s JD.com and has reportedly received over 250,000 registrations in the first 24 hours.
According to reports, the Nokia 6 which has been deemed as a mid-range smartphone was sold at a price of 1,699 Yuan and is expected to be made available for purchase via a flash sale.
Further reports, also revealed that every single registration for Nokia 6 on JD.com costs about a $9 that is expected to be deducted from the final price of the device when being purchased.
HMD Global which possesses an exclusive license to brand and sell Nokia products is also planning to launch at least 6-7 new smartphone devices this year. Its upcoming flagship smartphone dubbed as Nokia 8 is likely to be announced at Mobile World Congress 2017 come February 26.
Just to recap, Nokia 6 sports a unibody metal design with a 5.5-inch full HD display in the front. Powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 430 chipset equipped with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage, the device also sports a 16MP main camera with PDAF and an 8MP front camera.
Following a recent certification of the Nokia 6 with the model number TA-1000 by TENAA, the device is expected to be rolled out in black color option only. However, a silver model recently passed through the Chinese certification website and is expected to be made available at a later stage.
