HMD global has revealed that Nokia 6 consumers in Hong Kong and Taiwan are now receiving the Android 7.1.1 Nougat update, coupled with the May security patch.
This update was pushed out to China users first in April, with the security update arriving early in May, and now Hong Kong and Taiwan consumer are expected to see the update hit their Nokia 6 units.
The news has been confirmed by the company, who said it was fulfilling the promise to provide monthly security updates and also regular systems updates.
To recap, Nokia 6 comes with a 5.5-inch full-HD display with a 2.5D Gorilla Glass on top. The device is powered by a Snapdragon 430 SoC and is backed by a 3000mAh non-removable battery with fast-charging support.
In the camera department, Nokia 6 offers a 16-megapixel rear camera with f/2.0 aperture, PDAF, and dual-tone flash, as well as an 8-megapixel front camera with f/2.0 aperture.
The dual-SIM handset comes with a USB 2.0 port for connectivity, a fingerprint sensor in the front, stereo speakers and Dolby Atmos audio enhancement.
In a separate news, HMD Global is making way into the Indian market as the Nokia 3310 (2017), has just been launched and is expected to be launched in India in the coming months.
