New Nokia Phones Expected to be Unveiled at MWC 2017

HMD Global Oy, the smartphone manufacturer with exclusive rights to market Nokia phones is on the verge of releasing four new Nokia smartphones at the upcoming MWC 2017. The Finnish company will present the Nokia 6, Nokia 5 and Nokia 3 and the modified version of the legendary Nokia 3310.

The news was all but confirmed by notable phone leaker Evan Blass after earlier leaks suggested that the company was planning to unveil Nokia devices, and the Nokia 3 and Nokia 5 are a pair of budget smartphones which would be powered by Android 7.0 Nougat. Although details about the Nokia 3 is still scarce at the moment, and it is expected to cost around $150.

On the other hand, the Nokia 5 already tagged internally as Nokia Heart, the device is set to feature a 5.2” HD display, 2GB of RAM, and packed with a 12-megapixel rear camera. And is expected to cost slightly higher than the Nokia 3 at $200.

Amongst the devices, Nokia 3310 seems to be the highlight given the immense amount of nostalgia surrounding it. The handset was popular as it made a name with its incredible battery life and indestructible build design. The refreshed device is said to launch at a competitive price of just $60.

Last on the list is the Nokia 6 which comes with a 5.5” Full HD display (1080p), Snapdragon 430, 4GB RAM and a 16MP rear camera. Prior to this time, the device has so far been available in China twice and has seen the tremendous flash sale of up to 1.4 million registrations. Based on the tidbit from Evan Blass, it is likely that the handset will launch outside China at a relative price.
