Word has come that the Moto Z2 Play handset has already gone official, leaving both the Moto Z2 and Moto 2 Force behind.
Nevertheless, one report saw Moto sending out invites for an event slated for July 25, as the two devices are largely expected to be unveiled.
According to one report, the Moto Z2 will debut on July 25, rolling out with Moto Mods support, and a dual camera setup at the back – while the Moto Z2 Play comes with a single camera configuration.
Going by another report, the Moto Z2 is cited bearing three color options – Grey, Silver, and Black. The handset is also tipped to come with new Moto Mods released recently similar to the 360 Degree Camera Mod.
Coming to specifications, the Moto Z2 is rumored to pack a 5.5-inch (1440×2560 pixels) QHD AMOLED display. The handset is said to be powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 835 SoC coupled with 4GB of RAM.
Expected to run on the latest Android 7.1.1 Nougat, the Moto Z2 will likely offer a dual-LED flash support and a home button with fingerprint scanner mounted at the front of the device.
In regards to the Moto Z2 Force, the device is said to be powered by the Snapdragon 835 SoC equipped w with Adreno 540 GPU and 6GB of RAM.
The handset is also said to come running Android 7.1 Nougat, whilst bearing a rear camera that consists of a 12-megapixel sensor. At the front, it comes with a 5-megapixel sensor.
