Micromax has expanded its portfolio of handsets with its new budget 4G handset dubbed Bharat 5 in India. Despite its low cost, the handset highlights a mammoth 5000mAh battery.
Going by one report, the company claims that will unveil more handsets its Bharat-Series, as the first two options named Bharat 5 Plus and Bharat 5 Pro, getting slated to be launched this month.
The new Bharat 5 comes at a price of Rs. 5,555, and is expected to be offered via offline stores in the country. Considering the price of the handset, the handset clearly takes on the Xiaomi’s recently launched Redmi 5A.
As part of the launch offer, Micromax has revealed that Vodafone consumers with a 1GB data pack will receive an additional 10GB of data a month for 5 months which sums up to a total of up to 50GB of additional data.
Jumping to specs, the Bharat 5 device supports dual-SIM and runs Android ‘s d Nougat OS. The phone brings a 5.2-inch HD (720×1280 pixels) display and is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core processor paired 1GB of DDR3 RAM speed.
In the camera department, the device comes with a pair of 5-megapixel sensors on board and at the front brings LED flash modules.
Talking about storage, Micromax offers 16GB of onboard memory space, with an option to expand via microSD card (up to 64GB).
In regards to connectivity options, the handset brings 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth v4.0, FM radio, 3.5mm audio jack, and Micro-USB.
