Lephone W2 Launched With Support for 4G VoLTE, 22 Regional Languages

Chinese handset maker Lephone has unveiled a budget handset dubbed Lephone W2 with 4G VoLTE support in India.

The handset comes with a price tag of Rs. 3,999 (MOP) and is already been made available for purchase exclusively via offline retailers in the country. The handset is being offered in Black, Golden, Rose Gold, and White + Gold color options.

The dual-SIM Lephone W2 runs the company’s 360 operating system based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow and packs a 4.5-inch FWVGA (480×854 pixels) display.

The device is powered by an unspecified quad-core processor clocked at 1.3GHz paired with 1GB of RAM. Coming to optics, the W2 bears a 2-megapixel rear camera and a VGA camera at the front.

The new handset from Lephone packs 8GB of internal storage, with an option to expand via microSD card (up to 32GB).

It also offers connectivity options such as the 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth, USB, Wi-Fi, GPS/ A-GPS, and FM radio.
Apart from offering a wide variety of emojis and symbols to improve text communication, the handset also rolls out with 22 Indian regional languages including Hindi, Assamese, Punjabi, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Tamil, Nepali, Bodo, Sindhi, Odia, Sanskrit, Kashmiri, Dogri, Maithili, Santhali, Konkani, Telugu, Urdu, and Manipuri.

In one separate news, Lephone has revealed that its latest offering is a platform that is an affordable yet power packed device, which brings the flexibility to meet up with consumer’s increasingly varied demands.
