News surrounding the next flagship expected from Lenovo’s smartphone sub brand, Zuk, in the form of the Zuk Edge has been up and about for a while with different launching date having been speculated, some of which have passed whereas others are still to come.
Nonetheless, the Vice President of the Lenovo Group have put all minds at ease as he has taken center stage to officially unveil the Launching date of this smartphone which has been scheduled for the 20th of December. This event would be holding at Wuhan and would commence at 2pm (GMT +8).
As noticed with every other “edge labeled” smartphone currently made available in the smartphone spectrum, they all sport the trending dual edge displays on their front panels. Nonetheless, leaked images and renders of this new smartphone shows us a device which doesn’t look like its name leaving us to wonder why “Edge” is added to the name of the handset as we can still see very tiny bezels on each side of the phone.
On the specs side of the device, the phone proves to us why it is a flagship device as it has the Snapdragon 821 processor ticking under it coupled up with 6GB RAM and an internal memory configuration 64GB which would also be made expandable via a microSD card.
It would be graced with a 5.5 inch Full HD touchscreen display with a 1080P resolution. It would also be running the Android 7.0 OS from the box and wouldn’t fail to get a fingerprint sensor as well. An 8 megapixel front facing camera would be fitted on the top of the front panel as it would be accompanying the main 13MP camera sensor located on the rear panel of this device.
As to the pricing of the device, we all still remain in the dark, however, the 20th is just a stone throw away so we believe the wait wouldn’t be long and we would finally get to know why is called Edge as well.
