Whilst other manufacturers have been on their heels trying to launch as many handsets as they can before the year runs out, Leagoo, on the other hand seems to be more composed. This manufacturer has been unusually quiet for the past few months and we now know why.
They have been preparing to storm the second phase of the Global Sources Electronic Show – which is the Mobile Electronics –. Now, they have taken center stage at the AsiaWorld- Expo in Hong Kong to officially announce the Leagoo M5 Edge ushering them into the zero bezel market.
Its manufacturers refer to its screen as a 3D edgeless display having curves on both sides like those featured on the Galaxy S7 handsets launched by the Korean Giant, Samsung. The crispy display is held firmly in place by a well-crafted metal chassis which has smoothened round edges at the corners thanks to the CNC technique used to cut it.
The handset sports a 5 inch HD touchscreen display with a resolution of 720 and an 80% screen-to-body ratio. Keeping the lights on would be a modest 2000mAh battery pack which should give you enough up time. It will be made available in two different color variants which include Obsidian Black and Champagne Gold.
The Leagoo M5 edge is powered by a quad-core MT6737 processor which is aided by 2GB of RAM and 16GB ROM that is made expandable thanks to the addition of the hybrid slot. The phone runs Android Marshmallow OS with the Freeme OS 6.0 atop from the box.
On the camera side of things, the device has a wide angle 8MP selfie snapper on its top upfront for all video calling apps and selfie needs. On the back, a main 13MP shooter is present have an f/2.0 aperture.
