iPhone X Launches in India With Long Queues Outside Major Stores

Here we are again speechless at the site of an innumerable number of both non-apple and Apple fans, rushing to lay hold of the new iPhone X device. If you’ve been following all our Apple-related articles, you’ll know that we are not big fans of the American company.

Nevertheless, our hands have been forced to believe that Apple has a lot to offer this time around with the launch of its new iPhone X handset.

As it turns out, the iPhone X has gone on sale in India and to our surprise, a countless number of smartphone user were reportedly spotted waiting in line to possible devour the handset.

In fact, one report noted that several dozens of people were seen lining up outside stores hours before the phone went on pre-order sales.

Unfortunately, word came that only buyers who pre-booked the handset will be amongst the many first-time grabbers to use the smartphone. Others will just have wait for the next three to four days.

Talking about price, the iPhone X comes at a starting price of Rs. 89,000 for the 64GB variant, while the 256GB model comes at a price of Rs. 1,02,000. The handset is said to be made available in Silver and Space Grey color options.

Alongside the handset, Apple also pushed out accessories including leather and silicone cases, which will be available starting at Rs. 3,500.

The all-new iPhone X leather folio will be priced at Rs. 8,600 while a Lightning Dock in with a metallic color finish at a price of Rs. 4,700.
Given the price cost, the iPhone X will be the most expensive handset in the country competing against the likes of Pixel 2 XL, which saw a price of Rs. 73,000 for the standard version.

To refresh, Apple’s own iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus were released in India last month. Both handsets came at a price of Rs. 64,000 for the 64GB version and Rs. 77,000 for the 256GB variant. iPhone 8 Plus 64GB and 256GB storage space variants saw a price of Rs. 73,000 and Rs. 86,000, respectively.

Coming to specs, the iPhone X brings a 5.8-inch Super Retina display which apparently, is the company’s first handset to bring such. It features a Face ID, wireless charging, all glass and stainless-steel design, water and dust resistance.

In the camera department, the handset comes with two 12-megapixel cameras tagged with OIS. It has a rear camera feature that brings dual optical image stabilization which comprises of a new color filter, deeper pixels, an image signal processor.

At the front, it comes with a 7-megapixel sensor with FaceTime HD camera. The new iPhone X device is powered by A11 Bionic processor tagged with a neural engine for supporting machine learning, augmented reality and 3D gaming.

Interestingly, India is not the only country where the iPhone X is being rushed like never before. As of now, the handset has rolled out to the following countries: Andorra, Australia, Austria, Bahrain, Belgium, Bulgaria, Canada, China, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Greenland, Guernsey, Hong Kong, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Isle of Man, Italy, Japan, Jersey, Kuwait, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Mexico, Monaco, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Puerto Rico, Qatar, Romania, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, UAE, the UK, the US, and US Virgin Islands.
