Following the launch of the Intex Aqua 4G Mini, the Indian handset company has waved off its new ELYT series in the handset segment.
The handset which is called the Intex ELYT-e1, apparently, is the first of its kind to launch in the ELYT series. The smartphone supports 4G VoLTE and is priced at Rs. 6,999. The handset is expected to be made available for purchase at many retail stores across the country.
The Intex ELYT-e1 packs a brushed metal finish with a fingerprint sensor at the back area. The handset also comes with the volume and power buttons seated on the right edge, and the capacitive navigation buttons occupying the bottom chin.
As per specifications, the Intex ELYT-e1 runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow out-of-the-box and comes with a support functionality for dual-SIM slots (Micro + Micro). It bears a 5-inch HD (720×1280 pixels) Onecell IPS display with 294ppi pixel density.
Powered by a 1.2GHz Snapdragon 410 quad-core processor, coupled with 2GB of RAM and Adreno 306 GPU, the mobile device packs 16GB of internal storage that is expandable up to 128GB via microSD card slot.
As for optics, the handset comes with an 8-megapixel rear and selfie camera with LED flash for improved low light photo and video recording.
The Intex ELYT-e1 also houses a 2200mAh battery that the company claims can last up to 220 hours of standby time and 5.5 hours of talk time.
It packs connectivity options apart from 4G VoLTE include 3.5mm audio jack, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS, FM radio, and USB 2.0.
The Intex ELYT-e1 measures 142.4×71.5×8.7mm and weighs 145 grams. It comes with on board sensors including an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, and proximity sensor. As of now, the handset is only offered in a Champagne color variant.
