Going by latest reports, Intex corporation has launched another budget handset dubbed Intex Elyt Dual in India. The handset is priced at Rs. 6,999 which is a little higher than two of the company’s recently launched budget called Aqua Jewel 2 and Aqua Lions T1 that both saw a price of Rs. 4,999.
The handset highlights a dual-selfie camera configuration that can compete with great options offers by Xiaomi Redmi Y1 and the Karbonn K9 Smart Selfie.
Coming to specs, the handset packs a 5-inch IPS display with HD (720×1280 pixels) resolution and 2.5D curved glass on top.
It comes with a 1.3GHz quad-core Spreadtrum 9850 processor, paired with 2GB RAM speed. As per storage, the mobile device comes with 16GB internal memory with an option to expand via microSD card (up to 128GB).
In the camera department, the smartphone comes with two sensors that comprise of one 8-megapixel and another 2-megapixel resolution.
More so, the handset offers an 8-megapixel rear camera paired with an LED flash. What’s more, the camera comes with pre-loaded effects like Bokeh Effect, Background Change Effect, and 3D Noise Reduction (3D NR) in addition to various filters on the Intex Elyt Dual.
The handset runs Android 7.0 Nougat and packs a 2400mAh battery. Interestingly, the handset brings one unique application dubbed “DataBack.” According to the company, the app brings 500MB space for backing up user data per month for free.
As it turns out, Intex is not the only company offering dual-selfie cameras. In fact, we’ve seen Coolpad’s Cool Play 6C with the same technology as well as ZTE’s Blade A3, also sporting two front-facing camera sensors.
