Rugged smartphones have gradually gained traction in the market as many are beginning to show their interest into these kinds of devices. Nonetheless, for us and a whole lot of others out there, the spec sheets of these device usually turn us off as many of such manufacturers fail to add niche specs to these handsets.
Nonetheless, as time advances, we are beginning to see some manufacturers attach jaw dropping specs to such devices thereby varying which spectrum they are heading to. iMan on the other hand is on manufacturer that have been dishing out rugged handset for quite some time now and we can see that they are gradually upping their game with each launch.
However, this time around they just officially made available the iMan X5 heading to the entry level market with a price tag set at just $80. The phone although asking for less comes in with some heft on the specs side of things as it sports a 3000mAh battery pack that would keep your piston fingers thumping for many hours.
The phone has a 4.5 inch HD screen protected by a Corning Gorilla 3 Glass for obvious purposes. The phone is also graced with IP67 certification which should make it water and dust proof. The iMan 5X has an MT6580 processor powering it alongside 1GB of RAM and 8GB of ROM.
The traditional SOS button featured on all ruggedized handset also makes an appearance on this device alongside a 5 megapixel main camera on the back panel of the handset. The phone is also going to be having dual sim configuration so do not strike out the possibility for one sim port being used as microSD card slot.
