Following the unveiling of the HTC U Ultra that took place sometime last month, the company has now been discovered to have made the handset available to users across India via the HTC India Store. The U-Play, which was released along with the U Ultra in India, is reported to go on sale in sometime in the middle of March.
To recap, the HTC U Ultra runs Android 7.0 Nougat with Sense UI customization. The handset features a 5.7-inch QHD (1440×2560 pixels) Super LCD display and a secondary 2-inch display with 1040×160 pixels resolution. It is powered by a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 chipset equipped with 4GB of RAM.
As per optics, the HTC U Ultra bears a 12-UltraPixel rear camera with an optical image stabilisation, a BSI sensor, laser, PDAF, a f/2.8 aperture, and dual-tone LED flash. At the front, the smartphone packs a 16-megapixel camera with an UltraPixel mode and a BSI sensor.
Other key features include the 4G LTE with VoLTE, GPS/ A-GPS, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth v4.2, NFC, HTC Connect, DLNA, Miracast, and USB 3.1 Type-C connectivity options.
The handset is powered by a 3000mAh battery with Quick Charge 3.0 that the company claims can deliver up to 26 hours of talk-time and up to 13 days of standby time.
The HTC U Ultra is priced at Rs. 59,990 and is expected to also roll out in Pink, and White colour variants. It can be purchased in only the Blue and Black colour variants as of now.
