Sometime last week, the Honor smartphone manufacturing company sent out invitation cards for people to attend the launching of its Honour 6X dual-camera smartphone set for January 24.
While Honor’s invitation cards did not include the name of the smartphone to be unveiled, Amazon India however, took the honor of doing so. The Honor 6X is expected to be sold exclusively on Amazon India.
Last year October, the Honor 6X was launched in China with the Huawei-owned Honor brand bragging a dual-camera setup as one of its biggest highlights. The smartphone device which was launched at a retail price of CNY 999 (an equivalent of Rs. 9,900) exclusively for users within China as since then being anticipated by other users across the globe most especially India.
The Honor 6X features a 5.5-inch (1080×1920 pixels) full-HD IPS display with a 2.5D curved glass protection. Powered by a Kirin 655 octa-core SoC, the smartphone is offered in three variants – 3GB RAM/ 32GB inbuilt storage, 4GB RAM/ 32GB storage, and 4GB RAM/ 64GB storage. The device also comes with a dual-SIM card slot along with a support functionality for microSD cards that can take up to 128GB.
The device’s main highlight of course, which is the dual-camera setup that bears a 12-megapixel sensor that supports PDAF and a 2-megapixel sensor just below it.
On the frontal section, the Honor 6X sports an 8-megapixel sensor that is perfect for selfies. The fingerprint sensor at the back of the phone sits below the dual-camera setup. What’s more, the company even went ahead to claim that the Honor 6X’s fingerprint sensor can unlock in less than 0.3 seconds.
