Whilst Samsung and Xiaomi are on a race to be the first manufacture to officially launch a smartphone being powered by what can be termed as the best chipset so far, courtesy of Qualcomm, the Snapdragon 835, Taiwanese Start-up, Asus, have already made plans to launch this handset today as CES 2017 kicks off.
Whilst Qualcomm had plans to keep the potentials of this chipset hidden till they finally unveil it at CES, we have already seen benchmarks of phone powered by this processor and it indeed really does prove to be a beast.
Asus revealed their intention over the famous social media platform Twitter in the form of a teaser which went on to unveil the launching of a new Asus Zenfone Flagship smartphone which would have the world’s best processor ticking inside it, scheduled for the 4th of January.
Although it was not really stated that the chipset of choice would be the Snapdragon 835, we have seen Asus build up quite a reputation for themselves as we saw them also be the first OEM to launch a smartphone, the Asus Zenfone Deluxe 3, being powered by the Snapdragon 821 chipset.
It is also worth nothing to speculate that the processor being referred to here as the world’s best might also be the SD821 as its reputation already goes before it. Whichever the chipset of choice, it would be well capable to handle any dual camera sensor thrown at it as this new handset has been speculated to feature one.
We are just a few hours away from the official unveiling of this new handset, so let us all keep our fingers crossed and hope that Asus actually goes for the SD835 SoC.
