The Chinese online retailer Alibaba is using AliExpress to expand its reach outside of Asia and challenge online giants like Amazon and eBay. The global online e-commerce platform has small business sellers that currently offer over 11 million unique consumer products.
Amongst its products, Elephone C1X is currently in the limelight as it been offered at a discounted price $89.99. The low budget phone is aimed at a younger audience, and it features an interesting and modern design.
Elephone C1X is designed in three colours namely black, gold, and peacock blue. The rest of the body is made through the process of bead-blasting which gives the aluminium a better feeling in the hands. In terms of the hardware, it is equipped with a 5.5-inch 2.5D HD screen and QuardCore MTK6737 Processor.
Underneath is a 2GB of RAM coupled with a 16GB of internal storage supported by an expanded storage via MicroSD slot. The camera has a dual setup of 8.0MP and 13.0MP rear camera.
The device will run Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box and it’ll pack a fingerprint scanner on the back, it’ll also come with tap screen to wake up feature. Elephone’s C1X also packs an “AAC BOX” speaker that should increase the overall sound quality.
Connectivity options onboard include 4G LTE (with support for Indian LTE bands), Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth v4.1, and GPS/ A-GPS. The device is packed with a battery of 2850mAh, and measures 142.9×74.5×7.68mm and weigh 160 grammes. Other sensors on board include an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, gyroscope, magnetometer, and proximity sensor.
