Being a new entrant into the smartphone market, Cubot continues to dazzle the public with various smartphone hits and the most notable is the Rainbow version which proved to be a great success.
And the company is on the verge of releasing the second version of the device which is to be tagged “Cubot Rainbow 2”. The firm still retains the notion that they are a step above the competition as their products can attest to it as being the low-end phone with the best camera.
Information on the inside still remains in the dark but from reliable sources, the difference won’t be huge and a good example is the camera department. More specifically, there are two rear cameras that will serve for blurred background effect. One is a 13MP camera sensor whilst the other is a 2MP sensor, and to the front is a 5MP camera with LED flash; with the hope that the quality will be a little bit better than before.
The display screen remains the same diagonal 5” 720P resolution as well as the internal memory of 16GB and RAM of 2GB. The hardware is a bit weaker because it is a low-end phone and the company is yet to release details about the processor, but rumours suggest that it is a Mediatek MT6737.
Pre-installed is the latest Android 7.0 Nougat version out of the box with a lesser battery of 2035mAh battery. The design looks standard and more elaborate with colour variations such as white, black, gold, red and blue. The blue colour seems unusual as it is not often seen in this class.
The price has also been touted to go once during the month of March but has not disclosed yet; so we urge you to keep fingers crossed as more information reach your fingertips.
