Just recently, the Coolpad technology company reportedly launched a new handset in India, dubbed the Coolpad Note 5 Lite. Based on the name, the handset is pegged as the basic variant of the Coolpad Note 5, which the company unveiled in last year’s September.
The handset is expected to go on sale exclusively via Amazon India from the 21st of March. The Coolpad Note 5 Lite smartphone is expected to be priced at Rs. 8,199 and will be made available in Gold and Grey colour options.
The dual-SIM Coolpad Note 5 Lite handset also runs Cool UI 8.0, based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow out-of-the-box. It packs a 5-inch HD (720×1280 pixels) 2.5D curved glass IPS display with a pixel density of 294ppi and a 70.6 percent screen-to-body ratio. The handset also features a 13-megapixel rear camera with dual-LED flash, and in the front, an 8-megapixel with LED flash.
Powered by a 1GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6735CP SoC paired with 3GB of RAM and a Mali 720 GPU, the handset also comes with a fingerprint sensor on the back module.
The Coolpad Note 5 Lite bears 16GB of internal memory that is expandable up to 64GB via microSD. The phone supports USB OTG feature and packs connectivity options that include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth v4.0, 3.5mm audio jack, and Micro-USB.
It sports sensors on board including an accelerometer, proximity sensor and ambient light sensor.
It houses a 2500mAh battery that the company claims can deliver up to 200 hours of standby time. The mobile device also weighs 148 grammes and measures 145.3×72.3×8.7mm.
