CES (Consumer Electronic Show) 2017 is almost a stone throw away and we can already see manufacturers gearing up to storm this event with the best that they have to offer in terms of technology. Among the many planning to launch their gadgets is AsusTek, who would be making official their Asus Zenfone AR on this prestigious platform.
News has been released that this device would be announced in the next few hours, 4th January, and we got this information thanks to Qualcomm who would be handling the chipset side of things for this upcoming smartphone.
They went on to say that this handset would be the first smartphone to have Tango-capability whilst being powered by their very own Snapdragon 821 flagship processor. This tango-enabled smartphone would also ship of with Daydream Mobile Virtual Reality support making it the only AR and VR smartphone that would be commercially available.
You are surely in for a surprise and “with Zenfone AR and the Daydream View headset and controller, you’ll be able to explore new worlds with apps like Google Street View and Fantastic Beasts, dive into your personal VR cinema with YouTube, Netflix, Hulu and HBO, and get your game on with Gunjack 2, LEGO BrickHeadz, Need for Speed and dozens other titles.”
Staring on the 5th of January, CES would commence and run down to the 8th in Las Vegas so if you are itchy fingered to lay your hands on this handset, you would have to wait a few more hours. Thanks to some encouraging remarks from the CEO, we are set to see this handset go official with a competitive price tag and top notch specs.
