Huawei officially took off the wraps from their Honor 6X smartphone for the US market earlier this year at the Consumer Electronic Show 2017. This handset featured the trending dual camera technology on its back panel and was also placed at a pretty affordable price tag making it one of the cheapest handset with the dual camera implementation.
All these seems good and the specs it featured made it even better. However, being launched in 2017, we had expected it to have the sweetness of the Android Nougat operating system fully operational from the box which it failed to.
Nonetheless, the folks over at Huawei had promised that the Nougat OS, as well as the EMUI 5.0, will be making way to their handset in the Q2 of this year. Now, they have lived up to their word as the manufacturers rolled out the first Nougat update for this device some few days ago. This update also comes in with the EMUI 5.0, an upgrade to the EMUI 4.1 that the smartphone originally went official with.
This new UI bring in a more interactive user experience coupled up with a new blue light reduction mode called the “Eye Comfort” which filters the blue light discharged by the display. This new update should appear on Honor 6X smartphones in the form of a notification, however, if that is not the case, users will have to check for updates in their setting.
The Huawei Honor 6X is currently up for the grab at a price of $249 with different color options that include Silver, Gray and Gold.
