If you still haven’t heard, Android’s next iteration, 4.4, is going to be called KitKat – yes, the chocolate – and its expected to arrive this October, along with the next in Google’s Nexus line of phones, the Nexus 5.
This fits with last year’s October announcements about the Nexus 4 and Android 4.2 Jelly Bean. The Nexus 4, made by LG, was a success for Google, given its price to power ratio and now its time for the successor. LG is again expected to father the new Nexus phone, which is believed to sport a 5-inch HD screen and a quad-core processor.
Earlier, Google also dropped the prices on the existing Nexus 4 phones and given how Apple recently released new versions of the iPhone, it is no surprise that Nexus 5 is on the horizon.
Are you holding off on the Nexus 4? What do you expect from Android 4.4 and Nexus 5? We certainly hope it does not look anything like the fan render below!
