The Korean Giant, Samsung is one name we are quite sure that you have heard of. This OEM has dished out a boatload of smartphones which are currently sailing high tides in the already crowded smartphone market. Although their most popular series, the Galaxy S series is aimed at the flagship spectrum, this OEM pretty much has its hands in almost every section of the market.
Further buttressing this point is their Galaxy J series of devices with the Samsung Galaxy J7 (2017) being one of the newest models to expect from them. This smartphone has been up and about for quite a while as it was even reportedly going to make an appearance the MWC which concluded some few weeks back.
Although it failed to go live in that global event, it seems like the wait won’t be long anymore as we just spotted it getting benchmarked by GFX Bench who has revealed a whole new set of specs and a new model number for us, different from that which was seen earlier this year.
In February, a version of this handset with the model number SM-J72A was seen, which is different from the SM-J730 model number this one carries. This new model even comes in with better specs which includes the presence of an Exynos 7870 SoC coupled up with 3GB RAM and 16GB ROM.
There is a 5.5 inch Full HD display having a resolution of about 1080 x 1920 pixels and it will run the Android Nougat OS from the box. However, we believe that the different in the model number is with regards to the variant this OEM will be shipping out for this handset as they will be going out under different names with different specifications for different regions.
