October 2014 is behind us, and the 31st, which was Halloween, also saw the release of the much awaited Angry Birds Transformers on Android (Read here). However, in this post we’re going to look at the 7 latest Android phones announced in October by manufacturers like Samsung, Oppo, Motorola, Huawei and HTC, and are expected to hit the market soon.

HTC Desire EYE

The Desire EYE is Htc’s foray into selfie-centric phones, keeping in line with the current trends. Users get a huge 13MP front-facing camera with dual LED flash, which means great selfie shots even at night. Other hardware features include a 5.2 inch 1080p display, a Snapdragon 801 quad-core processor and water and dust resistance, so even if you slip up during the perfect selfie on the beach, your phone can take a safe splash.

Huawei Honor Holly is a mid-range new offering from Huawei, mainly focused on the sub-continent market. While the phone’s design itself isn’t very inspiring, it offers fairly decent specs for the price. Even though the company is touting it’s display, the resolution is only 720p, which is fairly standard for all mid-range phones today. Never the less, the phone was announced early October and is available in the market.
