One thing that is sure about Chinese manufacturers is that they cannot go for a long period of time without launching a new handset. VKworld on the other hands have been too quiet for our liking as we last heard from them six months ago.
Now, their silence has been broken with the introduction of a new smartphone with the moniker VKworld S3. This smartphone has been worth the wait and brings in new technology to the table as well. This will be their first handset for this year and they are making it as attractive as possible.
Firstly, they have secured AOC displays for this handset which is quite rare given the fact that AOC only supplies displays to companies affiliated with them and VKworld has nothing tying them together. The addition of a 5.5 inch Full HD AOC display is a real boost to this handset especially with the addition of other new technology that AOC brings.
This niche screen is being protected by a 2.5D curved glass against scratches and other unexpected occurrences. The CNC metal chassis used for the body has rounded edges on all its sides creating a pretty awesome outlook for the device.
The handset runs the Android Nougat OS from the box and is fueled by 2800mAh of battery juice that should be enough to keep the handset up for long hours. It is also graced with a Sony IMX149 shooter on the back panel which is aided by a dual LED flashlight.
Two SoC and memory versions of this handset will be made available. Whilst one is being powered by the entry-level MT6580 chipset, the other will feature a more powerful MT6737 quad-core processor. As per the memory, one variant will sport 1GB RAM and 8GB ROM, whereas the other will be graced with 2GB of RAM and 16GB internal storage space.
All these specs bring this handset to a pretty affordable price tag of just $50.
